I'm so happy for you (and for me cause I can't wait to read all about your course as you do it). Yay! Awesome!! Congrats on the good luck!...Wooo! Yay! Awesome!! Congrats on the good luck! I soooo hear you on the crazy college schedules in the past. My freshman year I was taking 16 credits, including two foreign languages (Russian and French) and working 3 paper routes to keep me in school. I can't tell you the number of times I fell over aleep in the middle of studying, conversations, etc., from too much work and too little sleep and just being so danged exhausted. It sucks to not have a degree, but I am incredibly glad I quit college. I like having only one job and getting more than 3 to 4 hours of sleep a night and being able to have hobbies, like cooking or reading for pleasure...

Not kitchen related, but bus related....we have one of those fold down, two bike storage racks on the front of each bus for people who want to take their bike on the bus.

One of our regular bike 'n bus people was riding on my bus with me this evening, our bus was running 10 minutes late so we were all a wee bit cranky and the bus driver was driving maybe a couple of MPH faster than usual, but nothing excessively fast. Suddenly, bus driver slams on the breaks and says "I think your bike just fell off the bus. I think I just drove over it."

Bus driver & "B & B" man get off the bus and look for the bike. They can't find it anywhere behind the bus, nor is it underneath it. They look all over, even to the side of the road and can't locate it. It's just plain disappeared from sight! Someone gets the bright idea to look in front of the bus and, voila, it has somehow managed to fall out of the locked down bike rack and lodge itself *under* said rack, wedged between bus and rack. They extricated it after a couple of minutes and we went on our way.

That said, I am totally never taking my bike on the bus now, as I seriously do not trust those bike racks after today's adventure! Obviously the locking mechanism on the bike front wheel doesn't *really* secure the bike like they say it will....Meghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14449752194039825350noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1460900585837209922.post-72119486226530175482009-05-05T21:36:00.000-04:002009-05-05T21:36:00.000-04:00Yeah! College was all about creating opportunities from other people's misfortunes!Lindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14004178422343485278noreply@blogger.com
